Hunting & Gathering

We're excited to be writing the first weekly update for "Bystander," our traditional 2D animation short!  Remember to check back at least weekly to stay up to date on the creation of our film.

We want to start this post with a little story...

Last week we met and had the most productive meeting imaginable.  We wrote petition forms, went through storyboards, and started this blog.  And we bought all our equipment and materials.  The latter consisted of thousands upon thousands of pages of animation paper...all shipped to the dorm mailroom.  Sure, the box doesn't look too big, but man is it heavy!  And the expression on the mailroom attendant's face when we told them what was in this box:  priceless.  We're pretty sure they think we're crazy.

Anyway, we have most of our equipment now, and some of our drawing materials.  One more shipment to come in, and we'll be set to start animating!

This is what 5000 sheets of paper looks (and/or tastes) like
The other important update of the week is we now have our crew!  We held two days of petitions and had a great turnout.  Unfortunately, we couldn't take everyone, so we had to make some tough decisions.  We're very excited to animate with our amazing crew!  Check back next week for an updated crew page.

What does the future hold for us?  Next week we will hold our first official crew meeting.  The following week we begin animating!

Remember:  "There is no wrong way to doodle."
